ANOTHER GREAT YEAR AT THE RIVER!SPREE is wrapping up another great school year of excursions along the River. We've enjoyed working with nearly 5,000 students and seeing their joy and excitement when they catch their first crawdad, conquer their fear of rafting, or even just skip a rock in the River. It's especially rewarding when we hear from the kids themselves about what they liked and learned at our field trips. Each year SPREE receives thank you notes from hundreds of students and we wanted to share one of our favorites. River Rangers![]() SPREE staff also had the pleasure of working with 10 amazing high school students from KIPP Denver Collegiate this spring. These students participated in our River Ranger internship and learned to teach 5th grade students about the River environment. We have also hired four of these students to join us this summer as educators at SPREE summer camp, and we can't wait to see them continue to grow as young leaders and River stewards. Four of our River Ranger interns have also been hired to work for The Greenway Foundation this summer in our summer camp programs! For more information on the Ranger program, click here!

for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
