![]() We’re excited to announce that The Greenway Foundation has been awarded a 2 Million & Change grant by the Staples Foundation! This funding is a part of Staples’ philanthropic initiative to direct more than $2 million to non-profit organizations that are focused on education and job skills. The grant we received will help fund our hands-on field trips for elementary students as well as high school River Ranger internships and summer employment. We are very grateful to Staples for choosing to support our programs through this initiative!

At the start of the annual campaign, we charged our donors to help us raise $15,000. If our goal was met, we pledged to jump into the South Platte River! Thanks to all of our 89 donors, we reached and even beat our 2014 Colorado Gives Day goal by raising $15,057.50! As promised, here is The Greenway Foundation staff taking the South Platte Plunge on December 10, 2014! These funds help support our South Platte River Environmental Education (SPREE) program where thousands of kids have fun, safe, and educational experiences along the South Platte! And don't forget, you can donate to The Greenway Foundation any time of year! Thank you again to all of the donors who helped us reach this ambitious goal! We had a very fun fundraising season- our supporters charged us with traveling 15 miles along the river and even jumping into it at the end!
![]() For each Colorado Gives Day donation made or scheduled by December 2nd, The Greenway Foundation Team traveled one mile of the South Platte Trail and its tributaries. Thanks to you, the Team traveled 15 miles by bike, running, rafting and scootering, from Bear Creek Park to Globeville Landing Park. Now you can see that trip in under 6 minutes. We urge you to watch our video and get on the trails to see what your donation dollars work toward! |
