HISTORY DETECTIVES WEEKMountains, seas, and prehistoric creatures! SPREE summer campers became history detectives in the final week of summer camp this year. We learned about prehistoric oceans and the brachiopods, trilobites, and other creatures that lived there. Then we headed down to the South Platte to see what critters live here now. Campers got creative making their own “bugs in amber” and even dressed up as prehistoric mammals. We dug for dinosaurs in the sand, excavated a cookie, and made our own fossils using plaster and clay. Campers also had a blast making volcanoes and then exploding them with baking soda and vinegar. We closed out the week with our special graduation ceremony where campers received their Chompers card. Thanks to our great staff, River Rangers and Junior Rangers for another amazing summer at SPREE’s Adventures Outside Summer Day Camps! Thank you to all of our SPREE campers and families- we hope to see you at our upcoming SPREE events and Holiday Camps.

nks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
