SPREE Excursion FAQ
.What is your policy for running field trips in inclement weather?
SPREE Excursions run rain or shine. We leave the decision to cancel a trip up to the classroom teachers as they know their students best and can best determine if they are prepared to be outside in the weather conditions.
How many students can I bring on a SPREE Excursion?
The maximum number of students that can attend a SPREE Excursion is 60.
How many chaperones can I bring on a SPREE Excursion?
You can bring as many chaperones on your Excursion as you would like. We love having their help with the students. We recommend 1 adult chaperone for 5 students in younger graders (ECE - 1st) and 1 adult chaperone for every 10 students in older grades (2nd - 5th).
Do I have to pay for chaperones to attend a SPREE Excursion?
No, fees are only charged for the students attending the field trip.
How do I pay for my SPREE Excursion?
Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Cash or checks can be brought to the field trip or mailed to our office at 1855 S. Pearl St., Denver, 80210. If you would like to pay using a credit card, please do so online at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/epf/.
Can I bring a different grade level on an Excursion than what is listed on the website?
Each Excursion is tailored to a specific grade level and aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards for that grade. If you would like to bring a different grade than an Excursion is designed for or would like to request a custom field trip, please contact Deirdre Lee at excursions@greenwayfoundation.org.
