FAMILY FISHING DAYThe Greenway Foundation is excited to partner with Environmental Learning for Kids (ELK) to host Family Fishing Day! This program provides an exciting day of fishing at Overland Pond Park along the South Platte River. Kids will learn about fishing etiquette, fishing safety, fish anatomy, and fishing techniques. After practicing these skills, the kids will be given their very own fishing pole to take home, donated by the Westwood GOCO Coalition, and spread out along the pond to fish!

Additional Event Information
Masks will be required at Family Fishing this year. We will also split into small groups, of roughly 6 people, as we rotate through our activities and instruction to help with social distancing. After group rotations, kiddos will get their very own fishing pole to take home! SPREE and ELK staff will be in the park until 11am to help with fishing, and then families are encouraged to stay in the park for as long as they'd like! Because we are limited our numbers so much this year, we also ask that if possible, you limit the number of adults you bring, that way we can have as many children as possible participate in one of our favorite events of the year! This event is designed for kiddos aged 3-12, but children of all ages are invited.
