The Greenway Foundation is excited to partner with Environmental Learning for Kids (ELK) to host Family Fishing Day! This program provides an exciting day of fishing at Overland Pond Park along the South Platte River. Kids will learn about fishing etiquette, fishing safety, fish anatomy, and fishing techniques.
This event is FREE but space is limited & prior registration is required!*
*You will receive a confirmation email upon registration, and will receive another email about a week prior to the event with important day-of information. Space is limited at our event due to COVID precautions we are taking, so sign up quickly to reserve your spot. There will be a waitlist for the event when we reach capacity. Waitlist members will be sent an email with instructions so you can still complete our fun activities on your own!
Additional Event Information
Masks will be required at Family Fishing this year. We will also split into small groups as we rotate through our activities and instruction to help with social distancing. After group rotations, kiddos will start fishing! SPREE and ELK staff will be in the park until 12pm to help with fishing, and then families are encouraged to stay in the park for as long as they'd like! This event is designed for kiddos aged 3-12, but children of all ages are invited.
