Whether we are in the River catching critters, playing games, or doing experiments, everyday is an outdoor learning adventure at SPREE Summer Camp!

We have 10 unique weeks of camp this year at SPREE Headquarters (HQ). Each week has a theme that ties to the South Platte River and our urban waterways. Hands-on activities, special guests, games, and crafts are tied to each weekly theme, allowing campers to learn about their environment through direct engagement - all while having fun!

CAMP DOC REGISTRATION
  • We started using a new registration system in 2018, CampDoc.com. You will be able to use your existing SPREE camp CampDoc account if you already have one. Accounts with our previous system(s) will not work.
  • You will need to use an updated browser to access CampDoc.com (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft edge)
  • If you have an issue on the payment page, try to hit "enter" when in the billing address box. This will allow the rest of the address fields to appear, and you will be able to proceed with your payment.
  • Public registration for campers opens on January 27. See above for other registration start dates.
PAPERWORK
All paperwork must be filled out on the CampDoc registration website. You will be asked to fill out general registration information, health information, and emergency contacts for each child, called the camper profile. You will also need to verify that you have read the parent handbook (will be on the registration site and can also be found here).
All camp paperwork must be completed before campers can attend SPREE camp. Campers with incomplete paperwork will not be permitted to attend camp.
CONTACT
The best way to reach out Camp Director, Emily is via email at camp@greenwayfoundation.org. She is available Monday-Friday during regular business hours (9am-5pm). To call, 720-306-8000. Calls will be returned as quickly as possible.

Questions or Feedback: Check out our FAQ page for answers to common questions about SPREE Camps. If you have any comments, or other feedback for the SPREE team, please let us know by filling out this form.
Additional information
Our summer camps are educational, outside, and active programs. Education will be hands-on and engaging, but will require listening, respect, and cooperation by the campers. Educational lessons will be broken up by snacks, free-time, quiet time, and other activities. It may be helpful to discuss the educational component with your child  they attend camp to ensure this camp is a good fit.
While we do have indoor facilities, there is no air conditioning at SPREE camps. Summer days are hot- we cool down with frequent water breaks, quiet story time in the afternoon, wading ankle-deep in the river/creek, and adjusting location or structure of activities if needed.
Covid considerations
The health and safety of your children and our staff has always been our number one priority. With the ever-changing realities of COVID, we have a plan in place to run a modified, in-person camp this summer. As we continue to learn more, and as safety guidelines change, we retain the right to make changes to SPREE Summer Camp 2021 as necessary. Any and all changes we make will be made to ensure the safety of your children, and will be communicated with you immediately.
That being said, we are very excited about our current Summer Camp 2021 plan. We will run camp at just one location this year (Johnson Habitat Park, aka SPREE HQ). As SPREE HQ is our one location with running water and a larger roofed space, we made this decision to take the necessary cleaning and safety measures to best facilitate a healthy camp environment. Additionally, we will be limiting our camp to 18 campers and 2-3 LITs. This smaller group will better facilitate distancing at camp and decrease potential exposure risks. If you have any questions about the changes we've made to SPREE Camp for this upcoming summer, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Camp Director or our Education Director. We appreciate your enthusiasm for SPREE and we can't wait to see your kiddos at the river!
