The City and County of Denver and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are engaged in a signature 3x3x3 Feasibility Study of the South Platte River, East Harvard Gulch and Weir Gulch in Denver. The Greenway Foundation is pleased to be involved with the study, assisting Denver with federal relations and public outreach.
The focus of the study includes ecosystem restoration improvements and flood control containment opportunities. This collaborative effort will help continue to maximize the reclamation and safety of the River and two of its most significant tributaries.
The Study is focused on:
• Ecosystem restoration projects
• River flow and health
• Wildlife and riparian habitat
• Flood Control Containment
