The Water Connection (TWC) is the water resource and policy arm of The Greenway Foundation. Major improvements have been made to the South Platte River and its tributaries over the last 40 years, but we are not done yet!
At the begining of 2020, TWC provided a home for TAP-IN Colorado, a project that aims to solve water problems across the state. |
Trash pollution is a major issue facing our urban waterways. The Water Connection is tackling this issue is by supporting the Gutter Bin pilot program in Denver. TWC has also collaborated with local universities to host the Clean River Design Challenge for three years. It is our hope that we will be able to launch the next iteration of this competition during the 2021-2022 school year. TWC is carefully monitoring the Nautilus, a half-scale prototype of an instream trash collection device that was installed in the Cherry Creek by TWC and project partners.
Waterways need water to function and be healthy, which is why TWC is also an advocate for Minimum Stream Flows.
